The sun is out, the weather is warm and Baskin-Robbins® is the place to cool down this summer with the addition of OREO® Explosion ice cream treats. America’s favorite neighborhood ice cream shop is again teaming up with America’s favorite cookie to expand its popular OREO Explosion menu line-up by welcoming 19 outrageous OREO ice cream products. Baskin-Robbins is also celebrating National Ice Cream Month in July by hosting OREO Ice Cream Lick-A-Thon events across the country on July 17, 2008.
“OREO cookies pair perfectly with our delicious ice cream, and blended together they create the ultimate shakes, sundaes, ice cream cakes, and new Soft Serve blended treats,” said Scott Colwell, Baskin-Robbins vice president of marketing. “Consumers loved the OREO ice cream treats we introduced last year and we are happy to extend the menu line-up this summer.”

May 19, 2008 — Baskin-Robbins, America’s favorite neighborhood ice cream shop, is launching a delicious, new line of smooth and creamy Soft Serve products. The world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops is the only national ice cream chain to offer both Soft Serve and hand scooped ice cream. The new Soft Serve treats will be available beginning in May at more than 1,000 stores in California; New York; Chicago; El Paso, Texas; and Nashville, Tenn.
To help welcome the company’s new addition and to pay tribute to all moms-to-be, Baskin-Robbins is turning “hump day,” as it is traditionally known into “Bump Day” for one day on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. During Bump Day, expectant mothers will receive a free 3 oz. cone of Soft Serve*. May 6, 2008 — Irvine (Irv) Robbins, co-founder of Baskin-Robbins passed away late Monday in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He was 90 years old. Robbins, and his brother-in-law Burton (Burt) Baskin, founded the Baskin-Robbins ice cream chain in 1945, which today is the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shops with more than 5,800 stores in 34 countries.
According to Srinivas Kumar, Chief Brand Officer — Baskin-Robbins Worldwide, “All of the Baskin-Robbins employees, franchisees and licensees are saddened by the loss of Irv Robbins. Along with his brother-in-law Burt Baskin, Irv was a pioneer in both the ice cream and franchising business and leaves behind a great and enduring legacy.”

April 16, 2008 — Mark your calendars, 31 Cent Scoop Night is back at Baskin-Robbins! America's favorite neighborhood ice cream shop is sweetening the spring season by hosting its second annual 31 Cent Scoop Night celebration on April 30, 2008 from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. at all 2,700 stores nationwide. During the event, the iconic ice cream brand is thanking its loyal customers by reducing prices of its 2.5 oz. ice cream scoops to 31 cents. Additionally, Baskin-Robbins will again partner with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), in an effort to extend support to the firefighting community, by donating $100,000 to the organization. Together, Baskin-Robbins and the NFFF will honor 31 firefighters from across the country who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to community service through the newly created America's 31 Firefighting Heroes program.

February 19, 2008 — Candy Bar Madness is back at Baskin-Robbins! America’s favorite neighborhood ice cream shop has again teamed up with America’s favorite candy company, The Hershey Company®, to create cravable ice cream and candy concoctions. Baskin-Robbins is offering 13 candy-infused ice cream treats that will satisfy any candy-lover’s craving. The popular menu line-up has expanded with the introduction of three new YORK® Peppermint Pattie-inspired ice cream offerings and the return of REESE'®S Peanut Butter Cup and HEATH® ice cream treats.
