In 1945 two brothers-in-law, Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins, came together to create
Baskin-Robbins. Our founders believed that people should have choices, so they offered
31 flavors, one for every day of the month. They also thought that people should
be able to sample different flavors without cost, until they found the perfect flavor
for that moment; this is why we now have over 1,000 wonderful ice creams in our
flavor library today.
Our founders taught us that we should never rest on our successes. The innovative
drive and the entrepreneurial spirit that Burt and Irv possessed are still alive
at Baskin-Robbins. We're constantly working on the next great flavor, the next great
treat and finding the next great franchise owner.
